Global Media on Justice for Bin Laden

We've been watching since noon time here which is midnight EST in the US. We saw it first on Yahoo and FB but quickly tuned in the news channels to see what was happening.

We get Fox News, CNBC, CNN International, BBC and Al Jazeera all live and in color. The coverage between the US stations and the others is pretty remarkable. While we have been flipping channels as we do, we have mainly settled on the coverage provided by Al Jazeera. They were the first to show photos of the house where Enemy Number 1 was hiding. In all it's blazing glory. Fox picked up the same coverage about 2 hours later.

Currently Fox has also picked up the shots of the inside of the house. Al Jazeera's had it on for quite a while.

BBC has been good about showing Karzi and Hamas and what they have to say in addition to having broadcasts and coverage from the local scene in Abbottabad

CNBC has switched back to financial news.

The US stations have had the talking heads in the background while showing the celebrations going on in NY and in DC. The other networks are sticking with the expert interviews while frequently showing photos and video of the house, the town and even interviewing the neighbors around the house in Abbottabad. Great coverage.

To note, the photos of the compound in Abbottabad look like they could have been taken in Dublin, CA. Flat with interspersed green space, crystal clear blue skies and brown and green hills in the background. Eerie.

One other interesting note, Fox shows Usama Bin Laden. All of the other networks all show Osama Bin Laden.

Editorially speaking, I sure am glad this has been taken care of. Especially in the fashion it was and by the USA. We rock.
