Golfing in Thailand

Got a chance to finally play some golf in SE Asia. We played Green Valley and Pinehurst. Yep, Pinehurst as in the 1999 US Open? Although, this must have been their annex because they didn't have the Payne Stewart statue.

Julie had a vendor meeting in Bangkok and some of the guys got together to play. Since I'm well connected, thank you Julie, I got invited to play. Fairly decent courses. Good fairways and decent greens. Shot my normal score of around 95 - 100.

However, the cool thing was the fact that we all had a caddy. Thai girl caddies. They drove the cart, gave yardage, read the greens and even held the umbrella over your head to keep you in the shade. Kind of caught me off guard but they knew the course really well and I had a better than usual score (since it had been a year since I last played) because of their help.

I don't quite understand the logic of the towel on the already large sun hat, but hey, I guess they won't get skin cancer. And no, they don't have a dental plan.

Take a look.
Looks like any other course at the beach.
