Julie too!

Quite busy lately for the love of my life.

Julie has had the pleasure of circling the globe over the last couple of weeks. On the 12th of September, she left for LA. Staying at the famous Beverly Wilshire Hotel, she had the pleasure of meeting Robert Redford and Flo, from the Progressive Insurance commercials, Stephanie Courtney. Sydney wanted to know what Flo was wearing so I chimed in

.....

wait for it

.....

"a big tricked out name tag!"

Actually, both of those folks and others, were guest speakers at the Innovation Summit. That's one of the events where the best and the brightest of the largest apparel manufacturer in the world meet to rub elbows.

She got back to HK on the 18th around 5 am and promptly made her root canal appointment at 11:30. The following Monday evening, during Typhoon "insertasiannamehere", I took her to the airport to catch the red eye to Brussels.

For those keeping score, that's 14,400 miles flying east and back and then about 12,000 miles flying west and back. Total, 26,400 miles. More than the circumference of the earth.

She said Brussels was nice and it was a really nice time of year but, unfortunately, she didn't have the spare time to enjoy it.

Upon her return, she was bearing gifts in the form of  chocolate for Sydney, souvenir shot glasses of the ''peeing kid fountain" for me and Belgian waffles for Alex. Seriously, legitimate Belgian waffles. Already cooked so all you have to do is heat and eat. However, Alex and I will both attest, they are likely the best waffles we have ever tasted.

So now she's home for a while. Got a cold, but she's home. Good for us!

PS. Thanks to Yeider and Martini for picking up and sending my laundry.
