Fun event this weekend

I'm beginning to think I should call this Alex's blog.

This weekend is being devoted to helping to raise money for a group called Stop The Traffik (http://www.stopthetraffik.org/). In conjunction with the Youth Endurance Network (www.youthendurance.com), he is taking part in kind of a walk-a-thon. In essence, you can donate a flat sum or you can sponsor the person with a donation of a certain amount per kilometer that they walk, or in this case, run.

The catch is that they run for 24 HOURS straight!

He's actually part of a team consisting of 7 guys. They'll take turns in some form or another and run the entire time. The course is relatively flat and circles The Peak, the highest point in HK. It's about 2.5K per loop. We're estimating he'll put in over 45K total.

Look for the photos next week.

PS. I wonder if DHS's Coach Williams would have an opinion on this? Sorry, that's a rhetorical question.
