I miss my child

So, Sydney is somewhere in the middle of China and we haven't talked to her since last Friday about 8:15 am. It's now Monday evening around 6:30. She left her phone, both of her computers, her MP3 player and her Nintendo DS. No word from anyone about anything having to do with their experience. No phone calls, no e-mails no nuthin'!

We knew this was the protocol but we never really thought about not being able to communicate with her. I mean geez, when Julie goes out of town, her and I will swap 15 text messages just so she can let me know if her flight is on time!

We're confident she's safe, I would just like to have a text or something. I can't wait to hear about the whole trip. I'm going to pull a Dad move and make her write about it here on the blog. Stay tuned.

Alex leaves Wednesday for the APAC XC Championships in Guam. He races on Friday about 6 am and then there is a relay on Saturday too. He'll be back on Monday. I go too but separate from him and the team.

Emely left for Macau last Tuesday to satisfy the immigration requirements. We're hoping the new Visa comes through tomorrow. She's only been here a couple of weeks but we sure do miss her.

Julie and I have been handling curtains and painting lately. I'll post some photos when we get everything else in.

That's all I got.
